I trying to model a logo of "the glitterati" (http://www.theglitterati.com/)

I've got a Illustrator vector file of the logo and have taken it into Maya.

I'd like to create a 3D neon...

I managed to figure what I was doing wrong. I was deleting the vertice's and not the faces.

When I now select all the face I want to delete every thing works out...
