I figured it out. It was a texture problem. Created a new PSD file and dragged my existing file over to it. Works fine now.
I'll probly put up an update sometime soon.

I'll give it a go tomorrow. More likely than not it's the texture/mapping that's screwy. I've never had issues with the rendering, so I don't think anything should have changed there.

alright.
I spent some time yesterday trying to see if I can make the holes, and the best I could come up with was extruding faces and moving verts till it resembled a circle, then extrude it in....
