Both, sometimes I need to float around to look at the model, so when I need a quick look I hit the brackets.

A good place to go is Gnomon in Hollywood California. They have just about every thing you could want to do. But Simply Maya is an awesome place to learn as well ;)

Have you tried adjusting the manipulators in the joints then parenting to the model? It’s hard to say what you might need with out seeing the models. is it for a game or just animation?

You should start by doing one side of the bus at a time and only use one texture until you get the size just right.

The way the clip is set on your gun looks like it wont come off. Like if it was one whole piece. No gap between the trigger and the clip.

And the barrel comes to a point at the end of the gun...

It looks good but have to things I see on it that don’t look right.

It needs to be all one piece. It looks as if it was welded on the trigger. Maybe a bevel...
