I finally got the look I wanted. Like in reality, the water in front of the object pops up a bit, and the water behind the object collapses, ripples, and twirls around.

Glad you guys like it, I'm still not getting the exact results that I want though. The scene only has two fields. A very small turbulence field, and an air field that does about 95% of the movement...

This is really my first attempt at using softbodies. It's just simple object moving through a liquid like surface.
