You could cut the screens to another layer and add layer effects or copy a layer of the screen on top using ironically 'screen' mode and apply a little blur to it and fade it out a bit.

May as well just do glow effects in Photoshop unless your animating, but if you want to bump up the illumination power of ambient surfaces, them increase the scale value in the final gather settings...

Looks cool, but you're right sometimes staring at something too long renders you blind to it.
