where do the avi files go after rendering? where can i set the resolution? any other info on rendering to .avi? are there any other movie formats that maya can render to directly?

thanks a lot! one last problem though.

when i select a shtload of polygon shapes and drag(with mmb) a texture on them from hypershade it only applies it to one of them. how do i get it to apply...

and how do i clear "teh histrorie"?
