well when i just use 'render;' it saves the image as a jpg with a different frame number each time so that works okay...

to me it seems like i would just run something like:

Using the command line, or i guess i can even make a script?

how can i tell it to 'step forward one frame' (like the button...) (which actually is 10 frames because that is what my playback rate...

is there any way i can get it to just render every 10th frame as seen in the preview window without going in there and pressing it manually, saving each image, and then editing it all together?

If you mean the "By Frame: " setting, then yes I tried that, but that only works when rendering a .jpg /static image with name.ext# it seems? It still doesnt have the same effect as simply pressing...

Basically, what i'm doing is a keyframeless animation with particles and rigid bodies...sort of a chain of events type thing. It's quite short.

Anyway I was told to set the Timeline->Playback...

yeah the keyframing works, however i didnt want to have to do that because i'd like the project to be a competely keyframeless animation.but i'm sure one keyframe on frame 1 will be okay ;)
