Hi, I spent ages putting together a skeleton for a left arm+hand, and then weighting it etc. So in an effort to save time i thought i could just mirror across the mesh+bones and it'd all be peachy....

thanks all fixed.. Just restarted maya and it worked so dunno what was causing it. Guessing it had got itself tied in knots over weird groupings.
