Check out overclock.net they have some really nice tutorials on there.

Oveclocking is alot of fun I have over a 100% increase in graphics performance after overlocking my GPU.

Yeah, a bump map would probably do it. If it is a one handed axe then you might not need a grip at all. Cool project, keep it up : )

I am not planning on ever upgrading to Vista at this time. From what I have read and seen Vista is much slower at unless you have 2 gigs+ of ram and a really fast CPU. I spend money on high end...

It looks very good ;) You might add some kind of grip to the bottom of the handle to keep it from slipping out of the characters hand. Are you going to texture it?

The scroll wheel on my mouse can be used as a middle button if you press down on it. Actually I think the middle button is a kind of a thing of the past.
