I was just slapping a simple texture on me rough poly tongue when I noticed the bump was all funny. So to investigate further I changed the texture to a checker to see if I could pinpoint the problem. This is what I got...

I know that I can modify it by using the UV editor but why does it seem to have gone so mad in the first place? Surely it would have placed an even checker over the whole object? All replies greatly appreciated...
