i've seen a couple of the videos, and while they are nice and generally pretty helpful, the price tag (which is more or less out of my range) doesn't quite justify them to me. i have learned a lot more from reading multiple tutorials and checking out what people have to say when others are asking questinos that you think you might ask someday than i would from buying one video tutorial.


as far as them being out of date, i guess the software is out of date (although a far amount of people still use maya 4 don't they?) but the techniques are generally the same. there are plugins to make some of the processes faster/smoother, but (as always) it's better to learn the basics and understand them before you jump into shortcuts....
