Greetings this is my first post here.

I'm exploring getting software to do animations and I don't have a clue where to even start.

I've been doing graphics for many years in the print industry. I'm so old school I actually remember linotypes and we actually hand drew graphics, used air brushes and shot and stripped our own films and halftones

So any advice about what kind of software would be appropriate for exploring and learning animation techniques and such would be really appreciated
