I know it was stupid, but I did actually model the lego word on the bricks instead of using a texture map. I made one brick, then instanced it (but I then combined all the objects into one brick, so I don't think the instances count any more, so the poly count will be high) I should have used a displacement map I guess, but this way was quick, and I don't mind about high poly limits. I'm going to do the next brick tonight I think.....
