Look at the games 13th_resident, most of them are made with max. Just the movie industry is using maya more. Thats cause max was originally made for games. After max v5 -v6 is when it started getting good for movies. When it integrated the particle system and advance lighting and all them other stuff. Do ur math, max is on v7 now. so um 2 years about. But watch max will take over maya one of these days. Give it sometime and the studios will see the trueness of Max.
