I agree with adding in a slight redish colour in the skin. If your after realism, in the real word, you would have photos bounceing of the red from the background and projecting it onto the skin. Notice your monitor how it has a redish colour on it. To fit the frog into the scene so it looks like its actually there, you would need to do this.
Maybe rather than change the texture of your skin, you could add a slight redish colour to your light.
Just some ideas.
