looks good so far. I agree though the added divisions for the feet of the chair run into the legs and deform them on the angle.
Otherwise its starting to look pretty good.

As for Maya to Max and vise versa.

I learned 3Ds max and spent about three years working with that and then had to transition to Maya for school.
Overall a lot is the same, but trying to find out where things are and getting the work flow pace back took quite some time.

If you need help finding things in Maya that you had easy access to in Max let me know and I'll see if I can't help. Sometimes the names get lost in translation between software.

I am trying to get back into Max which is a struggle all the same again as I want to use Vray cause im getting into Arch Viz, or atleast I want to.
