Most of them you wont need at all, unless you use it. One example is the tiff float reader, you wont need it unless your rendering with 32 bit tiff's.

In fact you probably dont need any of them for general use (appart form MR if thats your renderer of choice)

I would switch them off and see what you need when and were you need it.
