The face has alot of character I really do like it. I think if you have a look at some human faces, add some subtle detail like basic muscle bulges in the face, also have a look at lizards and stuff as he's quite reptilian looking.

www.Gnomonology.com have some free alpha brushes for zbrush go and download them, theres some good skin ones in the set.
