Yeah, I tried that, but it didn't really work, there were too many other dents, bumps etc for it to mask it right.
I ended up with a really patchy mask and I would've ended up spending just as long cleaning it all up after anyway.

Pity there's not a Magic Wand like tool for polypainting, that'd be so helpful! lol
