I'm not very good at the texture thing, but in the body for example. I painted in and layered different textured in photoshop. In this example the body is shown in shadermap pro. I like this program for auto generating your different maps. The background is the displacement map. I just recently figured out how to combine this map with a displacement map exported from zbrush. You make a copy of your body and obj it to zbrush, and sculpt the body. Then export a displacement map.
