A lot of games are going free2play. Sadly, that usually ends up meaning pay2win because where they drop the monthly subs they put up a store with items (some of which are quite questionable) that give the advantage to whomever spends the most cash.

I say play if you're interested, but make sure you take a tour of its seedy underbelly (there's always going to be one to some degree!) before you settle in.
