Well, I made a tube now (example) and tried the extrude with 0.05 , with me it works. I feel the increment in size due to extrusion. But I use maya unit system as default (1unit=1cm), is this related to your problem,do you use maya default system units?) I have Maya 2014 SP2. i dont know in what units i'm working on,where can i check that?
