Hi guys, i need to create a series of bloody streaks on some metal for a project I'm on. So far I have made a blood texture and I have the metal one ok. I want to do it with a layered texture so that I can have the metal underneath with the scratches and bloody streaks on top.

I'm using photoshop and I am assuming I need to use an alpha channel to allow only the streaks to be seen and so I need the rest of the image to be transparent.

How on earth can I do this?
