When I create a cube, say, the cube instantly appears in the center of the grid. But all of the tutorials show that you click on the grid where you want to place it and then use the mouse to raise the square to however high you want the cube to be. There seems to be two ways to place the created cube or sphere or cone, whatever. But how do you pick between the two methods?
