The trickest thing I found what where and when to use Zbrush in my workflow, I found the trick is to get all of the basic shaping of a model down, edge loops, flows etc, then UV and import and then do the sculpting, you need a few polys to better define shapes etc then up the poly count and add detials at each level. leaving the pores etc to about 1 million, Ive not really needed to go above that yet. But the more polys you have the more detial/displacement of the emesh you can make.
