To try and keep the frame rate moving in Frame per Minute not Frames per Hour i'm modelling either 3 or 4 versions of each building.

1) High Poly for up close shots. These will have very primitive interiors (cubes) so they don't look empty through the windows.

2) High poly Interiors for inside shots. You don't need to see detail on the outside if your inside and vice versa.

3) Low Poly exteriors for big aerial shots and fly throughs. These shots will need lots of extra landscape and you won't need to see detail anyway.

4) Medium Poly Exteriors. These will be used in fight scenes when there is lots of action going on as the veiwers eyes will be on the people and action and not on the buildings.

Anyway here is my start on the high poly Gate House at the entrance to the temple complex. I've researched and tried to base the models on 13/14th century (It's wasn't the first time they'd been burnt down) chinese architecture.
