Nice work, makes me happy to see bullet For books it is a good idea to get one and keep it on the side of tutorials for when you get stuck and to avoid gaps as you get the workflow but sometimes not all the details. I'd say get "Intoduction to Maya" or "Mastering Maya"`instead, and read Digital Lighting and Rendering in a while when you've lit a few scenes. I'll prepare a something for you so I can keep nagging haha
