Not a simple question to answer since there are many different formulas/systems/setups, etc. Also depends on the type of look you are going for.
Generally speaking, i encourage you to google "3 point light system". It's a system that is the basis for many lighting setups.
Don't be satisfied with what you can do but rather strive to do the things you can't do!
