I don't know which OS or connection you use... but if you use XP and have upgraded with this patch from april the 16. then that might be the problem... info about the patch here

a lot have complained about this patch made their system slow and other things... Microsoft are working on a better patch as far as I have understood... I read it in an article fron af danish IT news thing...

you can also test you connection here to see if you can get some usefull info about it... "Internet Connection Center"... -->
