A large HDD is always and advantage, when you have multiple projects thats got a lot of custom textures (colour, bump, spec, displacement etc etc) and your rendering out a high number of frames then you need the extra space.

Also if your doing standard res vidoe editing a 320 gig HDD will get eaten up pretty fast if you do multiple projects that are of any significant legnth (say 30 mins final legnth)
