I should have the book within a couple of weeks or so.

I think my lighting tends to go more to the cartoony/dramatic side of things, as opposed to the realism, but Im still interested to learn about that gamma stuff and linear lighting. Hoping I can pick up some tips on other mr nodes that I have never really used until now. Used the sampler info node for the first ever time today user added image

Done some good stuff this week on the course, been looking at different materials, improving specularity, glass shading, and some different techniques and cheats for all things related. Looked at the Bokeh effect also, and had a quick go at the parti-volume shader, damn that things tempermental!

Not all covered in this pic, but this is one of the scenes we've been given to test out some of this stuff on.
