If you only want it for maya then have a look at the qualification charts on alias's site, but you can get a card that isn't qualified but will work, eg the GForces (On my PC I've got an old school 4400 but it works fine hardware rendering)

But I would ask for opinions on the one your thinking of as there may be problems with it when running maya
