could anybody possibly point me in the direction of a good tentacle tutorial or indeed have any advice on constructing a tentacle. had a google but couldn't find anything other than rigging tentacles.

all i really want to be able to do is create a dynamic tentacle similar in style to doc ocs from spider man.
