I´am getting quite used to nurbs now ... well, haven´t got that much modelling experience with high-end ... used Milkshape all the time, then switched to Rhino (without knowing it was using nurbs ) and then came to maya:

learning a lot with that tournament ... got now a bunch of nurbs-modelling tactics
