i might be wrong but most people with personal sites that are professionals will not be able to display all of their work due to non-disclosure agreements, right? this obviously depends on the employer but it seems that the people who work the fastest (and would provide good character turnarounds) might fall under this category.

only other artists would be hobbyists who don't have as much time to dedicate to 3d and thus won't have good character turnarounds.

maybe just start following links in people's profiles and collect an assortment of pages to look at, if you have a lot and you check them all you're bound to find something good relatively often.
