at simply maya website go to dvd's. look for
Jedi Starfighter (1 DVD) the same process. only you need change the imageplane to the ship that you want build. this kind of modeling are very easy. just you need image plane.

look at blueprint website for imageplane. if you can not find there. you need buy yourship(small size like toy's for kids)and with digital camera make 4 view(side-front-top-pers)picture's
than use this images as imageplane. for me i did the same process for making airplane. boeing 777...
