Now, for the water filling fun, i have a question:
DO YOU use maya unlimited? if so you have maya fluids and an ocean shader which can be tweaked to look like pool water.
But without Maya unlimited, you need a program like Glu3D or Realflow for the fluids.
i can tell you more when you inform me on whether or not you have maya unlimited
