Global illumination - wierd with transparencies?

Hi,

when I render using global illumination, I get this weird effect, where the eyelash (a plane mapped with an alpha) casts a shadow as if it wasn't transparent - as if it was still a complete rectangle. Hence the large shadow above his eye, cast by the low light.

Anyone came across this before, and know a fix?
