nice start mate - the head is looking very good so far - though the edge flow around the mouth could maybe do with a bit of a tidy. this is going to be a great costume to model and i'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the pose.

that's odd about the alpha gain - i take it the same thing happens with a new shader or scene?
