The term 'In 3d' is what everyone knows ( the general public) as wearing the glasses. So its not really anything to worry about.

But we as 3d geeky techy dudes know it Stereoscopic 3d for when its viewed with glasses.

However I dont recall any pixar movie or alike advertising their movies in the past as being '3d'. They were classed as a CG movie as they were just using 3d as another medium to create the film nothing more. Its only now since the technology has been improved with Avatar being clearly the front runner that alot of films are now in viewable 'in 3d' by this I mean the movie 'Up' too.

watching the film 'normally' is simply classed as 2d, its become the norm.
