Problem is I did - I honestly did !
... but I sometimes lose the objects when the scene is dark (and moody)
I dont think that this matters, you need to get the mood right and then use little point lights to pick out little details that you want. Give the point lights really low intensities e.g. 0.1 or 0.2 and that should pick them out enough to be seen enough.
Scene looks great just need to sort the lighting (I know how hrd it is I spent about a week doing mine for my WIP!
