Thanks for the posts, yeah i know its not installed correctly since when i try to use mental ray it wont work. Nope wont work rendering it in maya, only batch render. Yep the following is the installation instructions, there also is a source folder included in the lat long folder called source. In it are three folders all coded. But it doesn't say anything about what there for. latlong_lens for Mental Ray v1.0 by Ralf Habel ralf.habel@vi-motion.de "Installation: Copy latlong_lens.mi to the /Mayax.x/mentalray/include directory. Copy latlong_lens.dll to the /Mayax.x/mentalray/lib directory. (Or latlong_lens.so for Linux.) Copy render_latlong_lens.xpm and latlong_lens.fti to the /Mayax.x/icons directory. Add to your maya.rayrc file the lines link "{MAYABASE}/lib/latlong_lens.{DSO}" mi "{MAYABASE}/include/latlong_lens.mi" after similar declarations. The shader will show up in the Mental Ray Lenses tab. For standalone use: The lens shader has one parameter which mirrors the output on a centered vertical line: lens "latlong_lens" ("m_vmirror" [0,1]) Be sure to turn off scanline rendering. A tutorial on how to use the shader can be found at: https://www.vi-motion.de/latlong_Tutorial/ " Cheers, Mark
