Well for shiny metal you can either do a DGS material with a HDRI map...that will looks the most realistic but also probably the hardest to do...(this is a great tutorial for that: https://www.highend3d.com/maya/tutori...ray/241-1.html). Or you can make a phong material that looks like a metal, as seen in my small tutorial here: https://forum.simplymaya.com/showthre...threadid=22503 (PM me with your email if you want the tutorial that I wrote).
