Zeroboy, I think that the focus of the tutorial is to make one static cloud. The author mentions compositing in After Effects so the idea is probabaly to render out several clouds and composite them all in AE to give depth. Personally, I think it's the long way around. If you don't need to create them with particles, the tutorial z1 mentioned would be easier or like I said, Fluids would work great. There are several cloud preset examples you can use to get started.
