Are you the same Kurt who posted that excellent tutorial? If that's true, thank you for doing so. When we see you working arround we can see how maya is wonderful and how you are familiar with it.

Your tip worked fine for me. I had to try it many times because it wasn't working at first.
If after cutting the body in two I deselect all and then select the body and the leg again (as you tought me to do) Boolean Union didn't work.

What I had to do was select both the body and the leg BEFORE cutting the body and (without deselecting those poly) immediately apply boolean union. That way it worked fine.

Is it ok this way I did?

Why couldn't I do as you did in your tutorial?
Perhaps I have any wrong configuration?
