Hi, i have 2009 on my dell laptop and there are a lot of things wrong.

first, every time i select an object it becomes transparent as long as it is selected. also, the wire frame on shaded option just wire frames the entire thing. so whenever i have to model something, its always in wire frame

Next, the manipulator tools only show up on one of the orthographic views, like front or top, but not the others. and there's no outlining box to show what I'm trying to select. Also, every time i try to make a new texture using a file, the damn program gets an error and shuts down. it happens when after i select the choose from file option.
