i do this for multi UV characters , grab your UVs and do polyEditUV -u 0 -v-1 where -u and -v can hav values like 1 and 1 or 2 and 0 this will fit them in different 0-1 quadrands, you can have how many quadrants u want. but im not sure if there iis some sort of restriction to that, i've have at most character in 5 different UV space.
