so anyway, yeah, money is relative to the cost of living. In my own experience in looking for jobs and talking to employers, it's the quality of the portfolio and the character of the person that is the most important. The amount of money you can get is 99% based on experience. Maybe Rockstar is that exception that looks at schooling, but I'd say the vast majority don't.

Not to say schooling can't be good. *I* went to school and I'm glad I did. I'm just saying it's not a prerequisite to getting a job.

And of course I'm speaking mainly about game studios. I don't have film studio experiences.
