Faces

Hey everyone, i was wondering how to make faces of an object to be on fire but not the whole object. Thanks chris

An idea is delicate.
It can be killed by a sneer or yawn,
It can be stabbed to death by a joke
Or worried to death by a frown
On the right persons brow.

If you want it quick and dirty, I think you can just select faces and apply the Create Fire option from the dynamics module. It should only apply to the selection.

Hmm, well, another way would be to create a volume emitter that emits over a specific area and parent that to the object.

Another way would be to create a copy of the geometry you want fire to come from, emit from that and make it invisible and parented to the original object.
