Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

so is that a no? you're cars are a big part of my inspiration, so I'm not sure I could pull it off if you were'nt involved, but theres probably alot of people willing to chip in now...

Well, wether or not Forum gets his old cars back, Im sure he can still re-make them. Thats if he's still in. It'd be a shame if he decided on not joining back in. I still think we can pull this off. Its just gonna take some time. I havent done anything these past 2 weeks, due to finals at school. Ive started (and by started, I mean just barely started) making a 2000 Honda Civic 4dr (its the car I actually have, so I wanted to make it). At the end of the week, Ill have an update on what we still need and what not. user added image

You can use my 350z i just made. Ill tweak it however you need(and reduce polys for easy animation and transferance).

I can make scenery aswell. Keep in mind ive played every racing game out for x-box... I have a failry good idea of what belongs and what doesntuser added image

user added image $2.19 a gallon? Man...its only $1.97 here. :p I like it, except the road texture. Something about it doesnt get me....dont know what it is tho...but its good overall. user added image

$2.28 average in Oahu. Something like $2.60 on Maui and Hawaii. Paradise my butt.

minor texture update

I STILL don't know how to do the pavement right, I tried adding a very small amount of bump to it, but now it's too subtle. Still a ways to go here, but I still wanna spark interest in this thread.

haha... you think that's high... we pay about 1€ per liter

--> one gallon are 3,78 liter (USA)

Here's an asphalt shader that may work for you. This is only second shader I've exported, so I hope this works right. There is texture in the shader network, I've inlcuded that in the swatches folder.
